Cookie policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026 · Version 0.2
In short
This site sets no cookies when you visit it, and nothing that tracks you. That’s why you won’t see a cookie banner.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website can store on your device. The same rules cover similar technology, such as your browser’s local storage, so we describe that here too.
What this site stores
One setting, and only if you ask for it. If you press pause on the moving drawing behind the page, we save that choice in your browser’s local storage, under the name counsel-background-paused, so the drawing stays still next time. It holds no personal information, never leaves your device and lasts until you press play again or clear your browser’s storage. Because it exists only to do what you asked, it doesn’t need consent.
The admin area used by our own team, which isn’t open to the public, sets a sign-in cookie for the people who manage the site. You won’t receive it as a visitor.
Any analytics we use are set up to work without cookies or any other storage on your device, and without recording your IP address.
If that changes
If we ever want to use a cookie or similar technology that needs your consent, we’ll update this policy first and ask you with a clear choice before anything is set. You’ll be able to change your mind at any time.
Managing storage yourself
Your browser’s settings let you see and delete what websites store on your device, and block it if you prefer. The site works fully either way.
